The Village of Covington Utilities Department manages the Water and Wastewater Plants for the Village. The Department includes two full-time operators to manage the plants. Utility rates for water and wastewater can be found on the Utility Rates page.
The Village of Covington water supply is provided by a well-field on the north-west edge of town, treated at the $3.7 million dollar water plant constructed in 2005 and stored in two water towers with an 875,000 gallon storage capacity.
Wastewater Plant (WWTP)
The wastewater treatment facility was built in 1941 and re-constructed in 1982 with a 25-year estimated life and is located at 200 Bridge Street along the Stillwater River. This plant is considered a historical plant, due to the way the system is designed and will need to be replaced very soon.
