The Village of Covington Utilities Department manages the Water and Wastewater Plants for the Village. The Department includes two full-time operators to manage the plants. Utility rates for water and wastewater can be found on the Utility Rates page.
The Village of Covington water supply is provided by a well-field on the north-west edge of town, treated at the $3.7 million dollar water plant constructed in 2005 and stored in two water towers with an 875,000 gallon storage capacity.
The wastewater treatment facility was re-constructed in 1982 with a 25-year estimated life and is located at 200 Bridge Street along the Stillwater River. This plant is considered a historical plant, due to the way the system is designed.
