Public Works Department

street_department_patching

Village residents are encouraged to report any issue with roadways to the Village Offices at 1 South High Street or by calling 473-3420. In the case of an emergency, please call 911.

Street Department
The Street Department preps equipment for use.

The Village Public Works Department has a significant responsible in maintaining village streets within the city limits. This responsibility includes patching or repairing damaged roadways and keeping the roadways free of debris accumulated through seasonal changes – i.e. removing leaves and snow from village streets.

See the Village Snow Removal Policy

Mother nature can be very unpredictable, but the Public Works Department is prepared for any challenge. When roads are inaccessible from flash floods, downed trees or limbs, downed power lines, and/or heavy snow or freezing rain, the Public Works Department is the first on the scene to address each situation in order to keep local residents as safe as possible.

The Public Works department also provides trash collection and recycling service to community residents. Trash and Recycling information and rates can be found on the Utilities Page.
